Local Outreach

Calvary is committed to reaching our community with the gospel of Christ. All events that we participate in are geared toward outreach and we are always looking at ways that we can link with other ministries.
Our Vacation Bible School Ministry is our greatest local outreach event. We host over 450 kids and adults in a week-long, energy-filled, high impact program. Our AWANA program is also an effective and exciting outreach ministry.

We enjoly a partnership in ministry with the Holland Rescue Mission. We join their mission in reaching the homeless in our community.

We have partnered with Heartland Healthcare (our neighbors) by transporting residents to our worship services, providing companionship and Bible studies, leading chapel services, coordinating memorial services and assisting with work projects.

Each year, we partner with our local pregnancy center by promoting involvement in the Baby Bottle campaign on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday and by encouraging praying, voting and giving.

PowerPlus -
Every Wednesday, our students minister to over a dozen agencies in Holland. They work at local food pantries and various Assisted Living locations, provide child-care for moms attending Bible studies, and serve at our local rescue mission.
Our Benevolence Team partners with Good Samaritan Ministries which provides screening reports for people that request assistance from our church. Their partnership has been valuable in tapping into resources in our community.

We partner with Barnabas Ministries in their 2 on 2 Basketball Tournament and their Annual Girls' Lock-in event.
Calvary has a team that ministers at the Ottawa County Jail two times a year to provide a chapel service. Our teams lead worship, share testimonies with the inmates and teach in a chapel service setting.
