Ray Bartlett is the Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries starting in September 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Holland. Before coming to Calvary, Ray served as a Youth Pastor in Binghamton, NY, and as a remodeling contractor in his hometown of West Creek, New Jersey. Most recently, he has been serving as the Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries at University Heights Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ray graduated cum laude from Liberty University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion and a specialization in Youth Ministry. His passion is to see teens come to love the Lord and train them to serve in ministry areas within the church.
Ray and his wife Joanna have four boys, Andrew, Jesse, Jordan, and Riley. With so much energy in the house, they like to stay active as a family and enjoy many outside activities. Some of their favorite things are hunting, fishing, hiking, and playing all kinds of sports. Ray especially enjoys scuba diving. Ray and Joanna also have a love for music and enjoy playing the guitar and piano, respectively.
Ray’s passion and zeal for life is revealed in his favorite verse John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
